Castell Deudraeth is a 19th Century folly Castle built by Dafydd Williams, the first liberal MP for Meirionnydd. It was restored and opened as a hotel and restaurant in 2001, retaining all period features and furnished with local materials including Welsh oak and slate. Castell Deudraeth offers a brasserie style menu using the best local ingredients.
The Brasserie overlooks the mountains of Meirionnydd to the south and the formal Victorian gardens to the west. At present the the Lounge bar is reserved for the use of resident guests due to social distancing restrictions.
Castell Deudraeth has a two course lunch available from Monday to Saturday. All pre-booked two course lunches at Castell Deudraeth include an after lunch entry voucher to Portmeirion village.
Castell Deudraeth serves Sunday lunch from 12.00 to 2.30 priced at £30 for three courses. Pre-booked Sunday lunch at Castell Deudraeth includes an after lunch entry voucher to Portmeirion village.
In the evening, Castell Deudraeth offers an a la carte menu from 6pm to 9.30pm. Pre-booking is required.
