Food and Beverage Assistants 

Positions available in The Hotel Portmeirion and Castell Deudraeth, Working on a rota basis there are hours to suit everybody. 


 SOUS CHEF HOTEL PORTMEIRION

 An exciting opportunity is now available for a creative and enthusiastic Sous Chef to join a professional kitchen team under the guidance of the Head Chef and Executive Head Chef. You'll be assisting with the efficient running of the kitchen, possess high end cooking skills and have the ability to work on all sections within the kitchen. To apply you'll need passion, flair and imagination for food and the ability to run the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef. You will be working in an outstanding hotel that has an excellent reputation for its food in a 2 AA Rosette fine dining restaurant. We would be happy to receive applications from strong Senior Chef de Parties or Junior Sous Chefs who feel ready for a step up to this more senior role as well as those already operating in this capacity. Shift pattern - up to 50 hours per week, any 4 days out of 7. Competitive salary for the right candidate.


Retail Manager

Portmeirion Shops Ltd is based in the world renowned Portmeirion Village, with stores also in the neighbouring town of Porthmadog. It has a diverse range of shops, selling branded gifts and books, luxury homeware, toys and more.

We are now recruiting for a customer focused RETAIL MANAGER, with a passion for retail and staff development, to run the day to day operations of our store.

This is a full time, permanent position. 40 hours per week. Bilingual skills (Welsh/English) are essential.

Salary dependent on experience.


CAFE ASSISTANTS

Cafe Assistants required to assist in any of the Portmeirion Village cafes, to include the Town Hall Restaurant, Caffi Glas, Angel Ices, Caffi No 6 and Caffi Sgwar. Cafe opening hours are 9.30am to 5.30pm. Seasonal positions also available for Spring/Summer.

Duties to include:

Take food orders, deliver food to tables, clear tables and wash dishes, accept payments.


Retail assistant

Portmeirion Shops require full time Retail Assistant in Portmeirion Village. Full training provided. This is a permanent position and fluency in both Welsh and English is essential. Applicants will also need to be 18 years or over due to the sale of alcohol.


housekeeping assistant

Positions available in the Housekeeping department at the Hotel Portmeirion. Hours: 9.30am to 3.30pm, any 5 days out of 7. Part time also available. These are initially temporary positions; however, consideration will be given towards the end of the season to extend to a more permanent contract.


restaurant supervisors

The Hotel Portmeirion and Castell Deudraeth require Restaurant Supervisors to join the current team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a rewarding career in the hospitality industry with opportunities to progress within the company. The ability to work flexible hours (to include evenings and weekends) along with excellent customer service and leadership skills are essential for this role. Previous experience of working in a busy restaurant or bar would also be an advantage.

These are permanent, full-time positions; however, consideration will be given to applications for part-time hours from candidates with relevant experience.


Depot & Delivery Assistant

Applications are invited for the post of Depot and Delivery Assistant at Portmeirion Village, to assist with goods in and delivery of goods around the site. This is a seasonal position until approx 30.09.24, to start as soon as possible. A full driving licence and the ability to communicate in both Welsh and English is required for this role.

Usual working week will be from Tuesday to Saturday. Applications for either full or part-time hours will be considered; however, applicants must be available to start at 7:00am.
