Not knowing what to expect can be a source of anxiety for first-time spa guests. Our aim at The Mermaid Spa is to provide a relaxing environment where all of our guests feel comfortable and have a tranquil spa experience.

What facilities do you offer?
We offer spa-based treatments rather than a fully facilitated spa.
Please arrive 15 minutes before your first treatment. This will allow time for us to complete a consultation form with you. For subsequent appointments, please arrive 5 minutes prior to your treatment.
What if I arrive late for my appointment?
Unfortunately, late arrival for your appointment will constitute a reduced treatment time.
All treatments are subject to availability. To avoid disappointment please make your booking in advance. As a courtesy to our other guests and therapists, we require all spa guests to adhere to the following cancellation policy: We require 24 hours’ notice of cancellation, after which 100% of the treatment price will be charged. We value your business and ask that you respect the spa's scheduling policies.
What if I have special health considerations?
Please inform us of any health-related conditions prior to your arrival at the spa. If you are unsure about whether a medical condition could prevent you from having a treatment or you are currently taking prescribed medication, have an allergy or are pregnant, please call in advance to discuss suitable treatment options. Treatments are conducted subject to completion of a satisfactory health consultation form.
What do I wear during my treatment?
You may wish to wear your own underwear, or we can provide you with hygienic disposable briefs. Our therapists will always use strategically placed towels to respect your privacy.
Are children allowed in the spa?
Treatments carried out on guests under the age of 18 must be in the presence of a parent or guardian.
Can I use my mobile phone in the spa?
Our aim is to provide a peaceful environment therefore we politely request that mobile phones are turned off for the duration of your visit.
Please ensure that you take all belongings with you before leaving the spa as we cannot be held responsible for lost items. If any property is lost and found in the spa it will be handed to housekeeping in line with hotel lost property policy.
