Terms & Conditions and Rules of Entry

Please read these Terms & Conditions and Rules of Entry carefully before attending Gŵyl Portmeirion Festival.

1. By purchasing or using a ticket, you agree to comply with these Rules of Entry. Failure to comply may result in refusal of admission or removal from the Festival Site.

2. Tickets & Entry
   1. No ticket, no entry. All ages, including babies and children under 5, require a valid ticket.
   2. All tickets must be presented for scanning before entry and/or the issue of a Festival wristband.
   3. All persons and bags are subject to security searches at the point of entry.
   4. Folding chairs must be removed from bags before approaching the entrance to assist with security checks.
   5. Refusal to cooperate with Festival entry and security procedures may result in refusal of admission.
   6. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any person who breaches these Rules of Entry or presents a safety or security risk.
3. Under-18s
   1. All under-18s must be accompanied at the point of entry and throughout their time at the Festival by a responsible adult aged 21 or over.
   2. One adult aged 21+ may be responsible for a maximum of four under-18s.
   3. The accompanying adult assumes responsibility for the under-18s in their care throughout the event.
4. Under-18s & VIP Access
   1. Under-18s holding the appropriate Standard ticket may accompany their parent or guardian into the VIP area where that parent or guardian holds a valid VIP ticket.
   2. This also applies to children under 5.
   3. The under-18 must remain accompanied by their VIP-ticket-holding parent or guardian while within the VIP area.
   4. This provision applies to the child or under-18 only and does not provide VIP access to another adult holding a Standard ticket.
5. Access Tickets & Carers
   1. Access ticket holders must provide valid supporting documentation at the ticket/wristband collection point. Accepted documentation includes a Blue Badge, PIP documentation or Access Card.
   2. Carers must accompany the Access ticket holder when collecting tickets and wristbands.
6. The Access ticket holder and their carer must therefore attend the designated collection point together.
7. Required documentation must be presented before the relevant wristbands can be issued.
8. Alcohol
9. No alcohol may be brought onto the Festival Site.
10. Alcohol may be purchased from licensed bars within the Festival.
11. The Festival operates a Challenge 25 policy at all bars.
12. Anyone who appears under the age of 25 may be required to provide valid photographic proof of age before purchasing alcohol.
13. Bar service will be refused to anyone who appears intoxicated.
14. Anyone found purchasing or attempting to purchase alcohol for a person under the age of 18 may be removed from the Festival Site.
15. Anyone unable to provide appropriate identification when requested will be refused alcohol service.
16. Admission may be refused to anyone who is visibly intoxicated or behaving in a disorderly manner.
17. Animals
18. No dogs or other animals are permitted on the Festival Site.
19. This policy is in place for the safety and welfare of animals due to the Festival environment, including crowds, amplified music and event activity.
20. The only exception is appropriately trained Assistance/Service Dogs accompanying a person who requires them.
21. No other pets or animals will be admitted.
22. Prohibited Items
23. The following items are not permitted on the Festival Site:
24. Alcohol brought from outside the Festival
25. Cans
26. Glass bottles, glassware or glass containers
27. Weapons, sharp objects or anything that could reasonably be considered dangerous
28. Drones
29. Fireworks, flares, smoke devices or other pyrotechnics
30. Professional cameras or recording equipment unless agreed in advance
31. Umbrellas
32. Tents, gazebos, pop-ups or other structures
33. Any item that may obstruct views, cause inconvenience to other guests or present a safety risk
34. This list is not exhaustive. Festival management and security reserve the right to refuse any item considered unsafe or unsuitable for the Festival environment.

37. The following items are permitted, subject to security checks:

    1. Sealed soft drinks in plastic bottles
    2. Empty reusable water bottles or flasks
    3. Collapsible chairs
    4. Small collapsible tables
    5. Picnic blankets
40. A complimentary drinking-water filling station is be available within the Festival grounds.
41. Behaviour & Safety
    1. No entry will be permitted to anyone who is visibly intoxicated and/or behaving in a disorderly manner.
    2. The Organiser reserves the right to remove anyone from the Festival Site who is behaving in a disorderly, unsafe or anti-social manner, or where removal is reasonably required for crime prevention or public safety.
    3. Guests must comply with reasonable instructions given by Festival management, security personnel and stewards.
    4. Anyone who breaches these Rules of Entry may be refused admission or removed from the Festival Site.
42. General Conditions
    1. The Organiser reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions and Rules of Entry where required for safety, security, licensing or operational reasons.
    2. These Rules of Entry are not exhaustive. Festival management reserves the right to take reasonable action where necessary to protect the safety and security of guests, staff, performers and the Festival Site.
43. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to comply with the Gŵyl Portmeirion Festival Terms & Conditions and Rules of Entry.

1. 1. Yes, you can upgrade your standard ticket(s) to VIP (subject to availability) on seetickets.com website.
   2. To access the upgrade facility please sign-in here https://www.seetickets.com/customerservice
   3. Then scroll down to the Quick Links section and select Change Your Tickets
   4. Change Your Ticekts will allow you to upgrade all tickets, you cannot upgrade some and not others of the same type.
   5. You cannot change the dates of your tickets – this facility is used by seetickets.com when an artist has several dates on a tour.

1. 1. There is no dedicated area for VIP tickets near the stage.
   2. seating is available for VIP ticket holders.

1. 1. VIP tickets include access to Castell Deudraeth lounge bar and gardens. There will be a festival food menu available at the bar. There will be a marquee in the garden.

1. 1. Yes, folding chairs can be brought to the festival.

1. 1. Alcohol cannot be brought into the festival as glassware and tin cans, these are not allowed under the licence conditions. Alcohol can be purchased once inside the festival perimiter (subject to age verification).

1. 1. VIP guests may enter the Castell Deudraeth from 12pm midday, following collection of their VIP wristband.
   2. Standard wristbands may enter the grounds from 16.30pm following collection of their wristband.
   3. The festival grounds, surrounding the stage will be open from  16:30 on the day of the festival.

1. 1. There will be no shuttle buses running from the station.
   2. Local taxi services are available if required, otherwise it is a half a mile walk.

1. 1. Yes, there is a raised platform with ramp access with a level pathway from the main entrance.

1. 1. Yes, you can bring a picnic so long as you do not include any glassware or sharp knives.

• Their is a booth located on the drive walkway and a tent located below the Castell Deudraeth. Both are available from 12pm midday.

• Here we will scan your code, issue your wristband and conduct a bag check.

• Concert parking is available in the main car park and the overflow.

• Minimal Blue Badge parking is located to the left of Castell Deudraeth, in the car park under the trees as you approach from the drive.

1. Does everyone need a ticket?
   1. Yes. No ticket, no entry.
   2. Every person attending the Festival requires a valid ticket, regardless of age. This includes babies and children under 5.
2. Can I upgrade my Standard ticket to VIP?
   1. Yes. Standard tickets can be upgraded to VIP, subject to availability, through the See Tickets website.
   2. Sign in at seetickets.com/customerservice, scroll to Quick Links and select Change Your Tickets.
   3. Where multiple tickets of the same type are held within one booking, the facility may require all tickets of that type to be upgraded together.
   4. Tickets cannot be changed to a different Festival date using this facility.
3. What do VIP tickets include?
   1. VIP tickets include access to the Castell Deudraeth lounge bar and gardens. For seated events VIP tickets include a reserved folding seat in the field (16 July and 17 July only)
   2. A Festival food menu will be available from the bar, and there will be a marquee within the garden.
4. Do VIP tickets include a dedicated area at the front of the stage?
   1. There is no dedicated VIP viewing area at the front of the stage however for seated events (16 & 17 July) the VIP seating will be in the front central area in front of the stage.
5. I have a VIP ticket. Can my children accompany me into the VIP area?
   1. Yes. Under-18s holding the appropriate Standard ticket may accompany their parent or guardian into the VIP area where that parent or guardian holds a valid VIP ticket.
   2. This also applies to children under 5. The child or under-18 must remain accompanied by their VIP-ticket-holding parent or guardian while in the VIP area.
   3. This provision does not provide VIP access to another adult holding a Standard ticket.
6. What are the rules for under-18s?

7. I have an Access ticket. What do I need to bring?
   1. Access ticket holders must bring the relevant supporting documentation, such as a valid Blue Badge, PIP documentation or Access Card, together with their ticket QR code.
   2. Documentation will be checked at the ticket/wristband collection point.
8. Does my carer need to be with me when collecting my ticket?
   1. Yes. The carer must accompany the Access ticket holder when collecting tickets and wristbands.
   2. Both the Access ticket holder and their carer must attend the collection point together, with the required documentation.
9. Is there a dedicated accessible viewing area?
   1. Yes. A raised viewing platform with ramp access is available, with a level pathway from the main entrance.
10. Can I bring my dog to the Festival?
    1. No. Dogs and other animals are not permitted on the Festival Site.
    2. This policy is in place for the safety and welfare of animals due to the Festival environment, including crowds, amplified music and event activity.
    3. The only exception is an appropriately trained Assistance/Service Dog accompanying a person who requires it.

13. Folding and collapsible chairs are permitted. Please remove chairs from bags before approaching the entrance to assist with security checks.

17. Picnics are permitted, provided they do not contain alcohol, glassware, glass containers, cans or sharp knives.
18. Can I bring my own alcohol?

28. When can we access the grounds?
29. VIP ticket holders may access Castell Deudraeth from 12:00 midday, following collection of their VIP wristband.
30. Standard ticket holders may enter the Festival grounds from 16:30, following collection of their wristband.

32. Where do I collect my wristband?
33. Wristbands can be collected from the designated collection points:

40. Will there be a shuttle bus from Minffordd railway station?
41. No. There will be no Festival shuttle bus operating from Minffordd railway station.
42. Local taxi services are available, or the Festival is approximately half a mile from the station on foot.
43. Where should I park?
    1. Festival parking is available in the main Portmeirion car park and designated overflow parking areas.
    2. Limited Blue Badge parking is available to the left of Castell Deudraeth, in the parking area beneath the trees as you approach from the drive.
    3. Parking stewards will be available on arrival to provide assistance and directions.
44. What items are not allowed?
    1. The following items are not permitted:
       1. Alcohol brought from outside the Festival
